What did you create?I created two cinemagraphs. One was the reflection of a mirror with hands and feet, and the other was a character moving around on a DS screen without being controlled. Why did you pick these subjects over others? Does the subject have any specific meaning to you? I thought the mirror idea would be cool because in horror movies that aspect is shown a lot. I wanted to see what a non-scary moving mirror reflection would look like. I also just love playing my DS and thought that it would be cool if it moved by itself. What was difficult about this project? Is there anything you would recommend for someone in the future? Exporting this was one of the biggest hardships in this project. It wouldn't work, and then when it finally did, I couldn't upload it. I also thought that filming the video was difficult because it had to be really straight and couldn't move. I would recommend using a tripod when filming.

Hot chocolate and Marshmallows DS Gameplay Hair Blowing in Wind/Fan Keyboard Typing What was your theme and why did you pick it?My theme was fall leaves. I chose it because I really like fall as a season, I think it's really pretty and nature just transforms itself. I wanted to do something that involved fall before the season was over, and I figured that a fall pattern would be really cool. I thought since leaves are the highlight of fall that I would make a pattern of them. Of the 3 patterns you’ve made, which one is your favorite and why?I think my favorite is the support pattern with the brown and red leaves. I don't like how my showstopper pattern turned out, and I'm personally not a fan of the horizontal stripe that I used on my other support pattern. I also just really like how the red and brown go together. What did you find difficult about this project?I think the biggest thing was trying to make the pattern fit. Every time I tried to apply the pattern to an outline, it was either too big, or the pattern was messed up. This led to a bunch of image size changes before finally getting it right with some adjustments to the pattern itself. What would you recommend to someone starting this project?Make sure that your showstopper and support patterns fit cohesively, I don't think that mine did that successfully. I would also say to make sure that your design flows and won't get chopped when it's put in the outline. If it's not aligned right, the pattern will end up looking very odd.
